Eric "Ogre" Allee
The toughest thing about writing a bio is so many people choose to write them in the third person. That's just not my style. I'm a Colorado native and I've been insanely addicted to fishing since I was a little boy. I grew up fishing small neighborhood ponds in the Northglenn/Thornton area. As soon as I turned 16 I started expanding my world and fished all over the state for everything that swims! I'm just as comfortable with a 3wt fly rod as I am a swimbait rod and everything between.
Although I absolutely love catching fish the older I get the more I really enjoy helping others catch fish. I connect with other anglers through the LFK Podcast, articles in magazines and websites, seminars, and of course running into folks on the water.
I started fishing mountain lakes when I was 3. Then bill dance and hank Parker showed me the light to the world of bass fishing! Spent a lot of time on small ponds and in the shallows of lakes and reservoirs chasing bass. In my teens I started to wonder what else I can could learn to catch, then I found lake trout! I am now a true multi- species angler with a soft spot in my heart for bass.
I joined TightlineOutdoors in 2009 as a guide and pro staff. I am currently the tournament director for the Colorado walleye association. My number one goal is to do what I love for a living and to pass on as much as I can to the youth of our lifestyle/sport. “Education is the future of our outdoors”
